This plastic facsimile of a Kingsbury fluid-film thrust bearing allows for convenient classroom instruction in the design, maintenance, and application of this fundamental bearing type. Cast from actual Kingsbury components in urethane plastic, the bearing is encased in a clear acrylic, horizontally split housing, allowing for convenient viewing during disassembly and assembly. Available from stock, this device will enhance any course addressing thrust bearings, large pumps, turbines, and gear reducers.
