This unique training device allows for the demonstration of pump cavitation as well as the effect of the variation of static head and piping configuration on flow and pressure. A modular piping system, coupled with a variable-height support structure allows for convenient repositioning of the pump and motor, crating new flow conditions. Additionally, optional or user-supplied pipe spool variations can be added, creating a multitude of flow conditions. Useful in all courses relating to the flow of fluids through piping systems as well as within introductory maintenance courses related to pumps and process systems, this device will make training in fluid flow and pump operation more memorable and effective.

FEATURES Steel channel baseplate. Tubular steel component mounting rack (knock-down construction). Polyethylene tank with baseplate and inlet/outlet bulkhead fittings. Fractional horsepower centrifugal pump with open impeller, baseplate and electrical controls. Replacement, clear acrylic impeller housing. Modular, clear PVC piping system, consisting of interchangeable pipe spools, allowing for convenient adjustment of pump and tank element elevations. Provision for mounting pump and tank elements at four elevations. In-line piping components including vents/drains, (2) ball valves, (2) check valves, a variable area in-line flow meter, (2) pressure gauges and multiple unions. Provision for mounting pressure gauges in the pump suction and discharge piping. Painting throughout using a high durability urethane coating. Overall size of 14"W x 48"L x 52"H (150 lbs.).
